Licence to Publish

In order to ensure the widest dissemination and protection of material published in the journal, we ask authors to issue Momento Medico (‘the Publisher’) with a licence to publish their article. This form should be signed by the lead or corresponding author (‘the Author’). In the case of multiple authors, the author that has signed the licence warrants that they are authorised by all other named authors of the work to enter into this agreement on their behalf.
If copyright is held by your employer, you must obtain your employer’s written authority to grant an exclusive licence, or ask them to sign this form. If you are a Government employee you must obtain written authority to grant a non-exclusive worldwide licence to publish in any media and exploit all subsidiary rights.

1. By signing this form, you (the Author or copyright holder) agree to grant to us (the Publisher) for the full period of copyright, including any renewals or extensions and in all languages, an exclusive licence (or non-exclusive in the case of government employees) to publish your article worldwide in printed, electronic or any other medium, and to exploit all subsidiary rights in the contribution. You agree that we may publish your article in the above named journal, and that we may sell or distribute it within the journal, on its own, or with other related material owned solely or jointly by the publisher.
2. You warrant that the article is your original work, has not previously been published in whole or substantial part, is not currently under consideration by another journal, does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any other person or entity, and cannot be construed as plagiarising any other published work. You confirm that you are the copyright owner of the contribution or have been expressly authorised by the copyright owner to grant this licence.
3. If the article contains material which is someone else’s copyright, you warrant that you have obtained the unrestricted permission of the copyright owner, that you have provided written evidence of this and that this material is clearly identified and acknowledged within the article.
4. You warrant that the article does not, to the best of your knowledge, contain anything that is abusive, defamatory, libellous, illegal, obscene, fraudulent, nor in any way infringes the rights of others.
5. You warrant that, wherever possible and appropriate, any patient, client or participant in any research or clinical experiment or study who may be identified in the article has given informed written consent to the inclusion of material pertaining to them.

7. You warrant that you have included in the text of the article appropriate warnings concerning any particular hazards that may be involved in carrying out experiments or procedures described in the article or involved in instructions, materials or formulae in the article, and shall mention explicitly relevant safety precautions, and give, if an accepted code of practice is relevant, a reference to the standard or code.
8. You warrant that you have included in the text of the article an appropriate statement should you have a financial interest or benefit arising from the direct applications of your research, and that you have acknowledged any sources of funding for your research.
9. You consent to the inclusion of electronic links from the article to third party material, wherever it may be located.
10. You agree that in the event that the publisher sells the whole or part of its business to any third party the licence contained herein shall be assigned to that third party.
11. We promise that we will respect your rights as the Author. That is, we will ensure that your name is always clearly associated with the article, and while we reserve the right to make such editorial changes as may be necessary to make the article suitable for publication, we will make every effort to consult with the Author if we make any substantial change to your article. We reserve the right not to proceed with publication of your article for whatever reason.
12. Copyright remains yours, and we will acknowledge this in the copyright line that appears on your article. However, you authorise us to act on your behalf and at our expense to defend your copyright if anyone should infringe it, and to retain half of any damages awarded, after deducting our costs. You retain rights for non-commercial use of the article as set out below, providing that when reproducing the article or extracts from it you acknowledge first publication in Journal of Water and Wellness and provide a full reference or web link as appropriate.
